Piccadilly Beauty With A Secret

They say that secrets are best kept in plain sight
This was one of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories
As the human tide comes and goes on Piccadilly
Out of the flow appears a young beauty like a mermaid
Suddenly you are Ulysses tied to the mast
And reason which is deaf keeps rowing
Between Charybdis and Scylla
